Thanks for sharing your X3 experience! My X1 has 69075 KM on the clock, and these issues started showing up right after my latest service about two weeks ago. I haven't scanned for codes yet, but your injector situation sounds really similar to what I'm experiencing. I'll definitely get those codes read before heading to the shop. Appreciate the detailed breakdown of what to expect cost-wise too, helps me prepare for what might be coming!

Hey again! Back to share more about my X3 situation since your case sounds so similar to what I went through. You know what's interesting? My issues also started after a routine service, talk about coincidence! When I got the codes read, it was pointing to fuel delivery problems, just like I suspected. Just a heads up though, after dealing with my injector problem, I discovered that these symptoms can sometimes be connected to maintenance work. Since you mentioned this started after your service, you might want to have them check if anything got disconnected or wasn't properly reattached during the service. In my case, before we found the bad injector, we actually discovered a loose connection that got bumped during the service. The best thing I did was getting those error codes read first, saved me from guessing games and potentially unnecessary repairs. With your mileage being pretty similar to what mine was when this happened (I was at around 65000 KM), I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same issue. Quick tip from my experience: when you get it checked out, ask them to inspect all the injectors, not just the problematic one. I ended up having another one go bad six months later, and I wish I'd just had them all checked thoroughly the first time around. Let me know what you find out with the code reading, really curious if it turns out to be the same problem!

Thanks so much for all the detailed info! You've really helped me feel less anxious about this whole situation. I just called my local parts store and they said I can come in for a free code reading tomorrow morning. I'll definitely take your advice about getting all the injectors checked, really don't want to deal with this twice! It's super interesting that your issues also started after a service. I'm going to call the service center tomorrow too and mention this, just in case they need to double-check their work. You've saved me a lot of worry and probably some money too by sharing your experience. I'll update the thread once I get those codes read and find out what's really going on. Really appreciate you taking the time to help me understand what I might be dealing with!

Hey there! I have some experience working on cars, and I actually dealt with something very similar on my 2020 BMW X3. The symptoms were almost identical, rough idle, jerking, and that annoying CEL. Turned out to be a faulty injector causing improper fuel delivery. Had my trusted mechanic diagnose it, and they found one bad injector that needed replacement. The whole thing including parts and labor came to about 515 Euro, which wasn't fun but definitely needed to be fixed. Before we dig deeper into potential solutions, could you share: Current mileage? Any recent maintenance done? When did you first notice these symptoms? Have you scanned for error codes? With this info, I might be able to better confirm if you're dealing with the same issue I had on my X3. These symptoms are pretty common across the newer BMW engines, including the X1s.
