Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! That sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. I'm relieved to hear it wasn't something super major. Do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the repair? Also, has everything been working smoothly since they fixed it? Just want to make sure I won't run into any other related issues down the line with my iX3.
Hey again! Happy to give you an update! Since my last reply, I got my i4 fixed, and it cost me 95 € to repair the cable/plug connection. The mechanic found and fixed the defective turn signal lamp issue, turns out it was exactly what they suspected with the connector problem I mentioned before. I'm actually really pleased to report that everything's been working perfectly since the repair. Not a single warning light or funky turn signal behavior in sight! The dashboard is finally message-free, which is such a relief. I'd definitely say it was worth every penny to get it sorted properly. These kinds of electrical issues can be annoying, but once they're fixed right, they tend to stay fixed. My i4's been running like a charm since then, and I expect yours will too once you get it looked at. Let me know how it goes with your iX3 when you get it checked out!
Just wanted to update everyone, finally took my iX3 to get checked out today. You guys were spot on about the connector issue! The mechanic found some corroded wiring and a loose connection in the front. Cost me about 85 € to fix, which wasn't as bad as I was expecting. What a relief to have those annoying dashboard warnings gone! The turn signals are working perfectly now, and everything else seems to be running smoothly. Honestly, I feel a bit silly for putting it off for so long. The whole thing took less than two hours, and the mechanic was actually pretty great, explained everything clearly and showed me exactly what was wrong. Thanks again for sharing your experiences. It really helped give me the push I needed to get it sorted. Definitely learned my lesson about not waiting too long when these electrical issues pop up!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2020 BMW i4 last month. The turn signals were acting up, and I got those annoying warning messages on the dashboard. Turned out to be a faulty wiring harness connector near the front headlight assembly. At the garage, they found corrosion in one of the main connector plugs, and some pins were loose. It wasn't a major repair, but it definitely needed professional attention since it's connected to the car's electrical system. They had to replace the connector and reseal it properly. Started with the same symptoms as yours, inconsistent turn signals and dashboard warnings. Would definitely suggest getting it checked by a certified BMW technician, as these electrical issues can affect other systems if left unaddressed. Best of luck with your iX3!
