Tire pressure to low

Help needed with TPMS issues on 2016 BMW 7 Hybrid Having trouble with my tire pressure monitoring system lately. Getting constant low-pressure warnings, error messages on the dash, and the system keeps storing fault codes. Already had a bad experience with my previous mechanic, so I'm hesitant about where to go. Car details: 2016 BMW 7 Series Hybrid, 75,527 KM, All tires properly inflated but warnings persist Has anyone dealt with similar TPMS problems? Looking for recommendations on reliable solutions and trustworthy mechanics who know these systems well. What was your repair cost? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I had a similar issue with my 2019 BMW 5 Series Hybrid last winter. The TPMS sensors were acting up just like yours, constant warnings despite correct tire pressure. Turned out the sensor batteries were dying, which is quite common after 5-7 years of use. Got it checked at my local BMW specialist, they found two completely dead sensors and two with very low battery life. Had to replace all four TPMS sensors since they were all from the same production batch. The mechanic mentioned it's better to do them all at once rather than replacing them one by one as they fail. Not a serious repair at all, pretty standard maintenance item for these cars. The whole process took about an hour, including programming the new sensors to the car's computer system. Just make sure you go to someone who has experience with BMW TPMS systems, as they need proper programming equipment. Since then, no more false warnings or error messages. My car's running perfectly fine now.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Same thing happened to me, had to get all sensors replaced at once. That was about a year ago and it's been running great since. Can't remember exactly what I paid for the full sensor replacement and programming, though. How much did it end up costing you? Also, have you had any other TPMS issues pop up since the repair?

Hey there! Glad to help update you on my BMW 5 Series TPMS situation. Actually, I just got back from the mechanic last week for this exact issue. The total bill came to 280 € for fixing the sensor battery problem, which honestly wasn't as bad as I expected. The good news is that since getting it fixed, my TPMS has been working perfectly, no more annoying warnings or error messages on the dash. It's such a relief not seeing those alerts pop up anymore! The mechanic did a great job with the programming, and everything's been running smoothly. To answer your question about other TPMS issues, nope, haven't had a single problem since the repair. The system's been rock solid. Looks like we both learned that when these sensors start acting up, it's usually just time for some routine maintenance. Nothing too serious after all!

Thanks for the update! Since you mentioned your recent repair, I thought I'd share that my experience with the mechanic turned out pretty well too. Initially, I was super worried, given my previous bad experiences, but I found this really knowledgeable BMW specialist. Got there early morning, and they diagnosed the issue right away. Like you said, it was just the sensor batteries giving up. The tech actually showed me the old sensors and explained how they work, which was pretty interesting. Had a cup of coffee in their waiting area, and before I knew it, the car was ready. The whole thing cost me about the same as yours, and honestly, it was worth every penny. The best part? No more annoying warning lights on my dash! It's such a relief not having to worry about those false alarms anymore. Think I've finally found a mechanic I can trust for future repairs too. Sometimes these car issues turn out way simpler than we expect, right?
