Hey, no problem, happy to help! Yes, I still remember it well. The repair cost a total of €355. In my case, it was also a functional fault in the EGR valve that had to be repaired. Since I've been to the mechanic, my 3 Series has been running like clockwork again and no further problems have arisen. I hope this helps you! Best regards

In my 2009 3 Series, 2 injection nozzles were in the mors. All 4 were replaced, problem solved.
It's great to hear that replacing the injection nozzles solved your problem, Thomas1961. However, given ClaudiWag's symptoms, it does sound like the EGR valve could be the culprit. ClaudiWag, please do keep us updated on the situation after your visit to the garage. If you have any further questions or if the problem persists after the EGR valve is checked or replaced, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi, I have problem with erg ventil on my n43b20/ 125 kW engine on my bmw e92. Before 1 year I put new erg ventil end still comming fault of that. Power of the car is limited , he has no full power . Please do you have eny idea what is problem maybe ? Tnx
Hi Daniel1989, if you've already replaced the EGR valve and you're still experiencing power loss, it could be a number of things. It might be a problem with the EGR cooler, a clogged intake manifold, or even a software issue. I would recommend having a professional mechanic run a diagnostic test on your vehicle to pinpoint the exact cause. Please keep us updated on your progress.
Hello, I drive a BMW e65 730d, 231 hp, year of manufacture 2007, 0005 ACK. I have had the check engine light on for a long time. The on-board computer says "Increased emissions". Carly shows "4501 Exhaust gas recirculation control deviation. I have replaced the EGR and the mass air flow sensor. The error can be deleted, but comes back after a short time. What could be the other sources of error? Are there sensors behind the EGR that measure the exhaust gas recirculation?

It's possible that the issue could be related to a clogged EGR cooler or intake manifold, which can affect the exhaust gas recirculation process. Additionally, check for any vacuum leaks or issues with the EGR control solenoid. It might also be worth inspecting the wiring and connectors related to the EGR system for any damage or corrosion. If the problem persists, a professional diagnostic might be necessary to identify the root cause. Let us know how it goes or if you have further questions.
Hey, I had similar problems with my 2016 BMW 3 Series diesel. Just like you, the check engine light came on, the engine ran erratically and sometimes stopped by itself, and the exhaust smelled strongly. In my case, it was actually the EGR valve that was defective and partially jammed. At the workshop, they checked the EGR valve and found that it was heavily coked. It had to be cleaned or replaced because it was affecting the exhaust gas recirculation process and therefore the engine performance. This was a pretty serious matter, as it was massively disrupting the engine's running. After the repair, everything ran smoothly again. Make sure you have this checked before it causes major damage. Greetings
