Hey, of course you can ask! So, the whole thing with the belt ring cost me €455. The specialist found that the belt ring was defective and fixed it himself. It wasn't exactly cheap, but since then the thing has been running like clockwork again, no further problems since the workshop visit. Hope this helps you and hopefully your BMW will be running smoothly again soon!

Hello everyone, I had similar problems with my BMW 3 Series Diesel. My seatbelt reminder also stopped working and the airbag warning light came on. This may actually be related, as the seatbelt reminder and the airbag system are linked. My garage first carried out a diagnosis to identify the exact fault in the system. It turned out that the seatbelt reminder was faulty and this also indicated a fault in the airbag system. The workshop replaced the seatbelt reminder and reset the fault codes in the system. After that, both the seatbelt reminder and the airbag system worked perfectly again.

Hi, I can well understand how you feel. Have seen similar symptoms on my own car, a 2013 BMW 5 series model. At the last workshop visit there were actually some issues with the airbag system, and it wasn't a small problem. It turned out that this was due to a faulty sensor. The sensor had to be replaced, and although it was quite an extensive job, everything worked perfectly again afterwards. Regarding the seatbelt bringers, the mechanic was able to fix the problem. He mentioned that it often happens with older models. Hope this helps you!
