BMW 2 transmission oil change and Carly adapter update

Transmission slips/shifts erratically

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my BMW 2. The gearbox slips and does not shift properly. I know that a transmission oil change is recommended at about 60000 km for this type of vehicle. Unfortunately, I can't reset the service via my Carly app. Are you planning an update for the adapter in the near future? Many thanks in advance for your help. Yours sincerely, Michael Röckel.

Check the transmission fluid level and condition first, as low or dirty fluid can cause slipping and shifting issues. If the fluid is low, top it up to the recommended level. If it's dirty, consider a transmission fluid change. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

Hello, At BMW there is no service for the transmission which is simply reset like the oil change or the brake fluid change. Are you talking about the adaptations of the gearbox? If yes: As a rule, it is not advisable to reset the adaptations after an oil change of the transmission, as it can happen that the adaptations can no longer be learned correctly due to wear. Even if the vehicle manufacturer often does not specify a change interval for an automatic transmission, it is still advisable to change the oil every 60-80,000 km.
