Hey, thanks for your reply! My current mileage is 108765 km. I haven't had any specific error codes read out yet, but I will probably have that done. It's a 1 Series model (F20). Let's see if it's the wheel speed sensor or maybe something bigger like yours. I probably won't be able to avoid going to the garage. LG

Hey, sure, having specific error codes read out is definitely a good first step. I had a similar problem with my BMW 1 Series (also F20, but built in 2013) with the ABS warning light and the ABS/DSC system not working. In my case, it was actually due to the defective wheel speed sensor at the rear left. This paralyzed the entire ABS/DSC unit. The workshop replaced the sensor, which cost around 200 euros, including installation. After that, everything ran like clockwork again. A defective sensor is one of the most common causes of such problems and would of course be the cheaper option compared to the control unit. If reading out the error codes shows that it really is the wheel speed sensor, you should probably be able to get by with less effort and expense. Keep your fingers crossed that it's nothing major! Hey, thanks for the info! Sounds reassuring that it could "just" be the wheel speed sensor. I'll have the error codes read out next and of course hope that it's something simpler than the control unit. Your experience really helps me, so I already know what to expect. I'll keep you updated as soon as I know more. Thanks again for the helpful tips! LG

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2013 BMW 3 Series. After some checking, it turned out that the ABS control unit was faulty. I have some experience with cars, but when it comes to electronics problems, especially ABS, I prefer to call in the professionals. The control unit was replaced at my garage, and it cost around 1000 euros in total. After that, everything worked perfectly again. Of course, it could also be a defective wheel speed sensor, but in my case it was the control unit. Do you perhaps have the specific error codes that were read out? And which model exactly are you driving? LG
