Black Smoke & Stalling: Eclipse Cross Diesel Crisis

Just wanted to update you all on what happened. Finally got around to taking my Eclipse to a specialist mechanic that works on diesels. Turns out you were spot on – it was a damaged injector wiring harness! Got it sorted last Thursday. The mechanic was great, really knew his stuff. Bill came to around 110 € which wasn't too bad considering all the stress it was causing. The difference is like night and day! No more black smoke, engine's running smooth as silk, and my fuel consumption is back to normal. Can't believe I was putting off getting it checked for so long.
