Hey, cheers for the quick reply! Your experience does sound a lot like what my Mazda 3 is going through. It's reassuring to hear you managed to sort it out. I'll definitely follow your advice and get it checked sooner rather than later. I do want to avoid any more expensive repairs down the line. Quick question though, do you remember roughly how much you were charged for the coil replacement? Also, since the fix, have any other related problems come up in your car? Just trying to get an idea of what I might be counting on. Thanks again really appreciate the help! Stay safe on the roads!
Hey again, After my trip to the mechanic, it was indeed a case of a faulty ignition coil causing issues. The coil was replaced and since then, touch wood, the car’s been running smoothly. The stalling, jerky acceleration, all those issues – they're gone now. About the cost, fixing the cable connection to the ignition coil set me back by 365.00 €. That may seem steep, but considering the potential damage if left unchecked, I found it worthwhile personally. On your second query, there haven't been any new issues related to the ignition coil since it got sorted. In fact, getting it fixed has even improved my mileage some. Hope this helps you out. Be sure to take it into the shop sooner and not later, as you were saying. Stay safe and happy motoring!
Hello again, Good to hear back from you. Your information is super useful! The price you mentioned, to be honest, sends a bit of a chill down my spine. But if it prevents further damage and more importantly, makes the drive smooth again, I guess it's a hit I'll have to take. Glad to hear your Mazda hasn't given you any more trouble since the fix though. That gives me quite a bit of hope! Thanks a ton for sharing your experience and advice. I'll definitely be getting this sorted out asap, really can't let it stay this way for much longer! Your help is truly appreciated. Happy and safe driving to you too!
Hey! Had a similar experience with my 2015 Mazda 6 a while ago. These symptoms certainly did sound like a faulty ignition coil to me too, particularly the stalling, the power loss, and the struggle to start. Last time I went to the garage, turned out the cable connection to the ignition coil was defective in my car. It wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but it wasn't the end of the world either. The mechanic had to disassemble some parts around the engine to gain better access to the coil. Sounds complicated, but it's basically about unplugging the bad coil and replacing it with a new one. In terms of seriousness, it might not seem like a big deal. But if left unchecked, it could ruin your catalytic converter, which then could lead to more expensive repairs. Just a piece of advice, don't ignore the check engine light. Better to deal with it sooner than later. Safe driving, hope it all goes well!
