Hi, sure, no problem, I'm happy to help! So, replacing the fuel pump module in my garage cost me around €640. It's not exactly cheap, but since then the fuel pump fault has been fixed and my car is running like clockwork again, with no further problems. It was the right decision to have it fixed, even if it was a bit expensive. Good luck with your Laguna and don't worry too much. Sometimes it just happens that parts have to be replaced. Best regards!

Hey, thanks for the info! 640 is a lot of money, but I think if it solves the problem, it's worth it. My car means a lot to me, so it's important for me to get everything right. I just hope my experience with the garage is better this time. I'm really glad you shared your experience with me. You really helped me! I will make an appointment at the garage as soon as possible. Wish me luck and thanks again for taking the time to help me. You are really great. Greetings back!

Hello, I recently had a similar problem with my Renault Megane (petrol engine, year of manufacture 2015). I also had a faulty fuel pump module. The symptoms you describe sound very similar to mine: a restless engine, reduced power and a strong exhaust odor. The black smoke and the disturbances during acceleration and idling fit exactly. The issue with the fuel pump module is unfortunately quite serious. If it is defective, it affects the entire operation of the engine and can cause real damage in the long term. In my case, the workshop replaced the module. It took a while, but since then the car has been running again without any problems. So I would advise you to go to the garage as soon as possible and have it checked. Don't let your last bad experience put you off - a faulty fuel pump module is nothing to take lightly. Good luck, hope I could help!
