Hi, thanks for the reply! I'm glad to hear that your Fiesta is running well again. Can you remember how much you paid for the repair? And have you had any other similar problems since? I just want to make sure the cause is really the fuel pump. Thank you! Best regards

Hey, sure, I still remember the repair costs. It was €640 for the fuel pump module. It was a bit expensive, but it was worth it, because since I've been to the mechanic, everything has been working perfectly again - the defect in the fuel pump has been fixed. I haven't had any similar problems since. I hope this helps you! Best regards

Hi, Wow, that's a considerable amount of money, but if it solves the problem, it's probably worth the investment. I will definitely try another garage and hope they are as reliable as your mechanic. Your information was really helpful and no doubt gave me some clarity on my situation. Thanks again for your help! Best regards

Hey, I drive a 2010 Ford Fiesta and had almost the same symptoms as you. At the time, I also assumed that the fuel pump module was faulty. After some puzzling, my mechanic actually changed the fuel pump module. According to him, it was a pretty serious trigger for all these problems. Since then, my Fiesta has been running smoothly again, without black smoke and jerking. So yes, it could well be that your fuel pump module is faulty. I would definitely recommend you go to another garage if you are unhappy with your current one. Good luck with that! Best regards
