Hey, sure, no problem! Replacing the diesel particulate filter cost me €1550, which was quite a lot of money, but since then my diesel Seat Ibiza has been as good as new. After the mechanic fixed the "diesel particulate filter heavily loaded" issue, there have been no further problems. It runs so smooth now man, you wouldn't believe it. So hope your Seat Leon will run just as smoothly, despite the silly experience at the last workshop visit. Best wishes!

Hello, Yes, I had exactly the same problem with my diesel Seat Ibiza (built in 2012). The smoke, the lights, the whole nine yards. It turned out that it was actually the diesel particulate filter that was defective due to high mileage. So you're probably right about that. The diesel particulate filter was then simply replaced in the workshop. This is a standard procedure and they did a good job. But it was already at a high mileage, so the replacement made sense. A defective DPF is actually a serious matter because it not only affects the performance of your car, but can also lead to increased emissions. So don't wait too long to get it checked! Hope that helps you, buddy. Best regards!
