Hey, thanks for the quick reply! Sounds like the exact same problem I'm having with my C8. Except for the model, and that my car is a bit older. Do you happen to remember how much it cost you to replace the fuel pressure regulator? And has anything new come up since the replacement or has the DS5 been running smoothly since then? I look forward to your reply and thank you in advance!

Hey, I'm glad if I can help! That's right, my DS5 is a bit younger than your C8, but the symptoms sounded really similar. Regarding your question: I paid €250 to repair the fuel pressure regulator. It was just a defect, I didn't even think about it at first. Since then, however, the car has been running perfectly and the problem with the mixture being too rich was solved after the visit to the mechanic. Nothing new has come up since then, the DS5 runs like a suppository again. Hope this helps and good luck with your C8! Let me know how it goes.

Hey, that's really reassuring to hear. Thanks for the info and your help. It's much clearer to me what I need to look out for when I take the C8 to the garage. It's also good to know that replacing the fuel pressure regulator isn't as expensive as I feared. I hope that the problem with my car will be solved and it will run like before! I will definitely let you know how it goes. Thanks again and take care!

Hey, I drive a 2016 Citroen DS5 and had similar symptoms to yours. It really sounds like a problem with the fuel pressure regulator. In my case, it was a defect in it that caused the mixture to be too rich. The last time I was in the workshop, the fuel pressure regulator had to be replaced. My yellow engine warning light was also constantly on and the car jerked when accelerating, just like yours. It wasn't a small problem, but it was definitely fixable. After replacing the fuel pressure regulator, the performance improved significantly and the jerking on acceleration and hard starting on cold days also disappeared. So no need to panic, just get it checked and fixed. A good starting point could be that your car's fuel pressure regulator is faulty. Talk to the garage about it! Good luck!
