Hello, sure, no problem! So, the repair of the lambda sensor cost me €375. Pretty hefty, but since then my little Corsa has been running like clockwork and that annoying check engine light has stopped flashing. No more worries about black smoke or exhaust smell. In general, the problem with the exhaust aftertreatment malfunction has been fixed since the visit to the mechanic. So far, nothing new has come up that I could link to the previous issue. All in all, I can say that the investment has paid off. My tip to you - go to a good mechanic that you feel comfortable with. In the end, it can save you unnecessary headaches and costs. You're welcome! Hopefully I've been able to help you.

Hello, thank you for the details and the encouraging words. It sounds like although the initial cost is high, it may be worth it in the medium to long term. I will definitely visit a trusted mechanic and describe my situation. I hope this will help improve the performance of my car and reduce exhaust emissions. Your advice has really helped me gain perspective. Thanks again! Take care and happy driving always!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2013 petrol Opel Corsa. One of the lambda sensors was defective. It was indeed a serious problem, as the lambda sensor index has a significant impact on fuel consumption and engine performance. In addition, the vehicle produces more harmful exhaust gases if it is defective. We had to replace the sensors altogether. It was a major job, but after it was fixed, my car ran like new and the symptoms you describe were gone. So yes, it could be a malfunction in the exhaust aftertreatment system. It's best to go to a mechanic you trust. In my case, the repair at the garage worked pretty well. Good luck and hopefully it's nothing too serious!
