Hey, of course I remember, it wasn't exactly a penny: I had to fork out €1070 to repair the mechanical damage to the turbocharger. It really hurt, I'll tell you that. But since then the car has been in top shape again, I have to admit. The entire malfunction in the boost pressure system has disappeared since the repair. Everything runs smoothly and there are no unusual noises or other problems. Much better! The LandCruiser is purring like a contented kitten again. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can get this over with quickly. It's annoying to put the money on the table, but you'll have peace of mind afterwards. All the best for you, buddy!

Hey, oh boy, 1070€ is a hefty chunk, but if it solves the problem, then there's probably no other way. I'm glad to hear that everything ran smoothly again after the repair. I'll probably go to the mechanic as soon as possible and get it over with. Oh well, what the heck, safety first. Thanks again for your advice, buddy. Stay safe and sound, see you next time! Best regards!

Hey, your symptoms look very familiar to me. Had the same problem with my 2016 LandCruiser. It wasn't much fun, I tell you. It turned out to be mechanical damage to the turbocharger. All the signs strongly suggest it, especially the hissing and whistling. The twitching, the rough running and the loss of power in your engine are all classic signs of turbo damage. Plus the black smoke and the check engine light are simply impossible to ignore. My garage had to replace the turbocharger. Don't worry, it's a serious problem, yes, but after the repair my LandCruiser was running like a 1 again. Remember to get it checked quickly to avoid any major damage. All the best, buddy!
