Hey, no problem! Well, to be honest, the repair was a bit expensive. I paid a total of about 1550€ to repair the defective diesel particulate filter. But I have to say it was worth it, I haven't had any further problems with my Land Cruiser since. Everything is running smoothly again, the smoke has stopped and fuel consumption is also back to normal. So, despite the cost, I would say it's important to keep the DPF in good condition. Hope that helps you a little. Take good care of yourself and stay healthy!

Oh boy, €1550 is indeed a lot of money. But it sounds like it was money well spent. I'm a little comforted by your findings, especially that you haven't had any further problems since the repair. I'll probably make an appointment at another garage soon. Maybe they have more experience with DPF problems there. Thanks for your advice and help! Take care of yourself and stay healthy!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser. Black smoke, poor engine performance and high fuel consumption, it was all there. Turns out my diesel particulate filter was defective on the inside. It was definitely not that easy to deal with. After several inspections and tests, the garage removed the old DPF and fitted a new one. The engine control unit was also reprogrammed so that the regeneration worked correctly again. It was quite a job, but afterwards the car ran like new again. It is definitely a problem that needs to be fixed properly. Hopefully this has helped you a little. Stay true to yourself!
