Moin, of course, no problem. The repair costs for the leaking exhaust were around €265 for me. Since the lambda sensor was fixed and the exhaust repaired, there hasn't been a similar problem, the car now runs perfectly and without complications. It was a one-off so I'd say you don't have to worry about recurring problems once it's fixed. Good luck and don't let it get you down! Best regards!

Hi, thank you very much for your detailed reply. It has given me a rough idea of what I might be facing. It's encouraging to hear that you haven't had any further problems since then. I will visit a garage and hope that things go just as smoothly for me. Best wishes and thanks again for your help!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2007 Renault Megane. I also had the same black smoke from the exhaust and the same check engine light was also on. I can also fully understand the acceleration problem. In my case, it was actually due to a leaking exhaust and a defective lambda sensor. So your assumption may well be correct. It was annoying, but it had to be done. My garage replaced the exhaust and the lambda sensor. After that, the car ran like clockwork again and the main difference was that the engine power was completely back and fuel consumption was significantly lower. Sometimes you just have to get through these things, but believe me, once it's done, it's like a dream to drive again. Hope this helps you! Greetings
