Hello, thanks for the insight! That's exactly what I was afraid of. Your experience sounds very similar to my current situation. Can you perhaps remember how much the fun cost you? And were there any further problems after the lambda sensor repair or was everything the same as before? Thank you in advance and best regards!

Hello again, sure, no problem! So the costs were actually surprisingly moderate. The cleaning and replacement of the lambda sensor cost €375. Since the mechanic tackled the aged lambda sensor, the car has been running like clockwork. Black smoke, bumpy engine, all these problems have disappeared. And I haven't noticed any other problems since the lambda sensor was fixed. Everything runs as before, but of course I keep my eyes open and go for regular maintenance. Hope this helps and good luck with your car! Greetings!

Hello, thank you for the detailed information! That really helps. The price actually sounds much better than expected. I am now much more reassured and feel prepared for the visit to the mechanic. I think now is the time to book that appointment. Your experience has shown me that it's high time to get the problem under control. Hopefully everything will run as smoothly afterwards as it did for you. Thanks again and have a nice day! Greetings!

Hi, I recently had a similar problem with my 2017 Clio diesel model, which was showing similar symptoms to yours. After taking it to the garage, they found that the ceramic inside my lambda sensor was dirty and clogged. That sounded pretty serious at first, but it wasn't really a big problem. They had to clean it and in my case, replace the lambda sensor. I would advise you to do the same. Get a mechanic to take a look at it and ask them if cleaning it is enough or if it needs replacing. The technicians know best. Greetings!
