Hi, yes, since replacing the wiring harness, my C3 has been running great. The entire repair cost me €95, which is not that much considering the circumstances. Nothing else has happened since then. During the repair, the mechanics also looked at the mass air flow sensor. You were right, there was also a defect there. This has been fixed since I picked up the car from the garage. So, I would definitely recommend you have that checked at your next garage visit as well. Hopefully you'll get the fault sorted out quickly. Keep me up to date. Good luck and best wishes!

Hello, thank you very much for the detailed answer and help. It's great to hear that your problem has been solved. I will definitely ask about the wiring harness and mass air flow sensor at my next workshop visit to be sure. Your information helps me a lot and gives me a sense of security. Thanks again for the advice, I will definitely give you an update after my workshop visit. Best regards and have a nice day.

Hi, I recently had a similar problem with my 2015 petrol Citroen C3. In my car, it was the damage to the wiring harness that caused similar symptoms to your C1. There was smoke when accelerating, as well as erratic idling and occasional cutouts. Not to mention, the check engine light was also on. It was actually a serious issue as the damage to the wiring harness directly affects the function of the sensors and therefore the control of the engine. I went to the garage and they had to replace the wiring harness to get everything working properly again. So the next time you visit the garage, ask for the wiring harness to be checked. Hope that helps you a bit. Good luck to you! Greetings.
