Hey, thanks for your quick reply! It's really reassuring to hear that your problem seems to have been successfully fixed. Can I ask how much the repair cost at the time? And have there been any other problems since then or has everything gone smoothly since the boost pressure regulator was replaced? Would like to keep an eye on this. Thanks anyway!

Hey, sure, no problem! So, the repair of the boost pressure regulator cost me around €1520 at the time. Yes, I know, that's a hefty price. But my car has been running like new ever since. Since I've been to the garage and the problem with the boost pressure regulator has been fixed, there have been no more problems. So, since the boost pressure regulator malfunction was fixed, everything has really been running smoothly. So don't worry, just get it checked and fixed. Good luck with that, dude!

Wow, that's definitely a hefty price, but if it gets the car running again and prevents further damage, then it's definitely worth it. It's always good to hear that there have been no further problems since the repair. That reassures me a lot. I will go to the garage tomorrow morning and have the car checked. Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. I really appreciate your help! You had some really good points and suggestions. You really are a lifesaver, dude! See you next time!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2013 Opel Corsa. I also had an electrically defective boost pressure regulator. My car started showing the same symptoms as yours: black smoke, diminishing engine power, uneven engine running, jerky throttle response and whistling. I took it to the garage and the guys replaced the boost pressure regulator. After that, everything ran like clockwork again. It was quite a job, but the guys were super professional and quick. So you shouldn't be afraid, it's definitely fixable. The juddering and uneven running sounds like a serious problem. It shouldn't be ignored, otherwise it could cause even more damage. So, better go to the garage as soon as possible and have it checked. Even though it's a serious problem, it's still better to get it fixed as soon as possible. Good luck, buddy!
