Hey, of course I still remember the repair. It wasn't that expensive back then, I had to fork out around €95. That was the amount to fix the defective cable connection/plug to the clutch switch. And to answer your second question - since the visit to the mechanic, the issue with the clutch pedal switch malfunction has been completely resolved and no similar problem has occurred again. My Audi has been driving like the first day since then. So, don't be afraid to leave the problem to the garage. Good luck, hope this helps you!

Thank you very much for the helpful information! I'm reassured that the repair wasn't that expensive for you. I'll probably take my car to the garage and hope that it goes as smoothly for me as it did for you. That really was a great help. Hopefully everything will go as well as it did with your car and I won't have any more problems afterwards. Thanks again and have a nice day!

Hey, I'm no expert, but I had something similar with my 2011 Audi S5. The gear indicators in the speedometer were also spinning around and the warning light was on. In my case, it was the clutch pedal switch that broke. Basically, it's a switch that measures whether the clutch pedal is depressed or not. If the switch is faulty, the car can think that the pedal is always or never depressed, which of course can lead to symptoms like yours. This was a serious problem because it affected the entire operation of my car. Hope this can help you! Remember to test it at the garage. They can usually identify and fix the problem quite quickly. Good luck!
