Thanks for the feedback. Just had my service at 41477 KM and can confirm the wireless connection issues started right after. The ambient noise and sound quality are fine when playing music, its purely the voice recognition system thats giving trouble. The scan shows error code 03276 which points to the microphone interface. I tried disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes as suggested, but the speech recognition is still not working. Will try getting the microphone replaced first since thats likely the main culprit based on the symptoms. Good to know about the potential need for software updates too.

Thanks for the additional details about your Q3. Your symptoms match exactly what I experienced after my service too, perfectly good sound quality for music but a completely non-functional voice recognition system. That error code 03276 is definitely the microphone interface, just like in my case. While the microphone replacement fixed most issues, we discovered the software update was equally crucial for restoring full functionality to the audio system. Based on your feedback and my experience with the exact same problem, I recommend: 1. Have the workshop verify if any service actions disturbed the microphone wiring 2. Request a full system scan before replacing parts 3. Ensure they update all audio input related modules during repair 4. Get the Bluetooth module recoded after hardware replacement My repair invoice shows the microphone unit alone was 180 Euro, but getting just that changed without the software update would have been a waste. The complete audio system overhaul was worth the investment, as voice recognition and call quality have been flawless since.

I appreciate all the detailed information shared. After checking today, the system scan still shows error code 03276, but at least now I know exactly what needs fixing. Going to schedule the repair next week and make sure they include both the microphone replacement and software updates in the quote. Its reassuring to know others have successfully resolved similar Bluetooth issues and voice recognition problems. The fact that ambient noise isnt affecting music playback but only the telephony features definitely confirms the microphone diagnosis. Will update once the repair is done, but based on the feedback here, Im confident this should resolve my audio system troubles completely. Expecting around 800-900 Euro for the full fix including parts and labor.

As someone with moderate experience working on Audi infotainment systems, I encountered a nearly identical issue with my 2013 Audi Q5. The audio system problems you describe match what I experienced, particularly the voice recognition and Bluetooth issues. After multiple attempts to reset the system, the workshop diagnosed a defective microphone unit and discovered corrupted software in the main audio interface module. The complete repair involved: 1. Replacing the hands-free microphone assembly 2. Updating the Bluetooth control module 3. Recoding the infotainment system 4. Testing all audio input functions The total repair cost was 815 Euro, which included diagnostic time, parts, and labor. The workshop needed about 4 hours to complete everything. To help diagnose your specific case more accurately, could you provide: Complete scan codes from the system, Whether the issue started suddenly or developed gradually, If any recent software updates were performed, Whether the problems persist after a full battery disconnect The audio system symptoms can vary between different Q3 production years, so these details would help determine if your issue requires the same fix mine did.
