Audi Q2 air conditioning no longer works properly (year of manufacture 2018)

Insufficient Cooling/Heating

A/C System Not Engaging

Air conditioning blows warm air

Hello everyone, my Audi Q2 (built in 2015, gasoline) has problems with the air conditioning: cools/heats poorly, air conditioning does not switch on and the air stays warm. I suspect that the air conditioning system is faulty. Have you had similar problems and how were they solved in the workshop? What experiences have you had? Thank you for your help!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Audi Q3 (built in 2017). I have some experience with cars and have been to the garage several times. In my case, it was actually a defect in individual valves in the air conditioning system. I took the car to my garage and they quickly found the problem and fixed it. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay anything as it was still under warranty. So that I can help you better, could you give me a little more information about your vehicle? For example, how long have you had the problem and did you hear any unusual noises when it started? Best wishes and good luck,

Hi, thanks for your reply! I've been having these problems with my Audi Q2 (currently 108765 km) for about two weeks now. I haven't noticed any unusual noises, it's really just the lack of cooling and heating from the air conditioning. My last inspection was three months ago and everything was still fine. I'm looking forward to your tips! Kind regards,

Hey, thanks for the info! That helps a bit. If the air conditioning isn't making any unusual noises, it's probably not the mechanical parts like the compressor. It was similar with my Audi: the air conditioning simply didn't cool anything and just blew warm air. It could also be a leak in the refrigerant circuit, causing the gas to escape. This would explain why it worked before and no longer does. Another problem could also be defective sensors or electrical connections. In my case, it was the valves, but I've also heard that others have had to have their sensors replaced. I would advise you to have the air conditioning checked at a garage, especially if you had a recent inspection anyway and everything was OK then. Sometimes you only see certain problems under certain conditions. Good luck and let me know how it goes! Best regards,

Hi again, thanks for your detailed reply! That sounds like a sensible approach. I will definitely have the air conditioning checked in a workshop to find out whether it really is a leak in the refrigerant circuit or defective sensors. Your tips give me a good direction in which to look. I hope it's something that can be fixed quickly and easily. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out. Thanks again for your help! Best regards
