Airbag Warning Light On Mini Cabrio

I'm experiencing an issue with the airbag system in my electric 2023 Mini Cabrio. The airbag warning lamp is constantly lit in the speedometer. The error code points towards a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered this before? Vehicle safety is my priority, especially concerning the automotive safety features and the potential for airbag deployment.

SRS light issues aren't fun. I had a similar problem with my Mini Cooper a while back. Was your airbag deployment affected? Do you know which airbag sensor triggered the SRS light?

Thanks for your reply. No deployment luckily, just the warning lamp. I don't know which sensor specifically, only that the diagnostic pointed to a cable or plug issue within the airbag system. Did you ever find out which sensor was faulty in your Cooper?

Mine didn't deploy either, thankfully. I never pinpointed the exact sensor, but the mechanic suspected a loose connection too. Based on your error code, it's likely the same issue. Best to get it checked at a workshop.

Just wanted to update the thread. Took it to the workshop today. Turns out it was a defective plug connection, just like the error code suggested. They fixed it for 95€. Thanks for the tip!
