Hey, thanks for the quick reply and the reassuring words. Your experience sounds very similar to what I suspect. However, I would be interested to know how much you had to pay for it. Can you remember how much the whole thing cost? And did you have any problems with the air conditioning after the repair or has everything gone smoothly since then? Best regards!

Moin, sure, I remember. It wasn't exactly a bargain. I had to pay a whopping €880 to have the air conditioning control unit repaired. But since the guy at the garage fixed this signal error in the interior temperature sensor, the air conditioning has been running like a charm. So, it was expensive, no question, but at least the damage has been repaired once and for all and you can cruise around relaxed again. So, cheer up, you'll be fine! Best regards!

Hello, Uh, of course that's no mean feat, €880. It's a lot to swallow at first, but it's reassuring to hear that everything is actually fit again. I'll just go to the garage in the next few days and discuss the matter. I probably have no other choice if I want to enjoy driving this year. Anyway, thanks for your helpful answers! See you then and stay healthy!

Hello, I had the same problem with my Toyota Camry (petrol engine, year of manufacture 2017, 130,000 KM). The air conditioning only let out warm air and the air conditioning control unit was defective. It actually had a signal error from the temperature sensor, as you suspect. Of course, it wasn't a minor fault because the air conditioning is really important, especially in summer. The guys in the workshop had to replace the entire air conditioning control unit. Of course, it was a real drag, but everything worked in the end. So don't worry too much, it's stupid, but it can be fixed. Good luck with your Avalon!
