Hey, thanks for the tip! Sounds just like my old partner. It really wasn't cheap to change the control unit either. Can you remember roughly what you had to pay for the repair back then? And has anything new come up since then or is everything running smoothly so far? Thank you in advance!

Hey, you're welcome! So, I paid around 955 euros to repair the sporadically faulty communication between the control units. It wasn't exactly a bargain, of course, but since then everything has been running smoothly again. And the good news is that since the visit to the mechanic, the problem with the air conditioning compressor switching off has also been resolved. So no more hot air, the air conditioning is working again! So all in all, I can say that it has paid off and no further faults have arisen.

Ah, thanks for the info! Well, almost 1000 euros is really a lot, but it's worth it if the problem is fixed and there are no further problems. I think I'd better go to the mechanic now and have it checked. Otherwise I might soon be stuck with a faulty air conditioning system. Hopefully it won't be that expensive for me. Thanks again for your help and the quick answers!

Hey buddy, I drive a Peugeot 208 from 2013 and recently had a similar problem. However, I was also getting error messages such as "Sporadic faulty communication between control units". After a long search and many discussions with friends who know a lot about cars, I decided to go to the garage. It turned out that the miscommunication was caused by a defective control unit. The technicians had to replace it and reprogram the system. So far, everything is working perfectly again. So it might not necessarily be the air conditioning compressor. The fault could be further up the chain of command. It's not the smallest problem, but it can definitely be solved! It's best to have it checked in a workshop. In any case, good luck with it!
