Hey, no problem! The alternator repair was a big chunk, I had to fork out €365 for it because the control and power electronics were also defective. But since then the car has been running like clockwork again and there have been no further problems, fortunately! Everything has worked with the active hood since I went to the mechanic - no more malfunctions. Hope this helps you and the same thing doesn't happen to you. Keep your fingers crossed that you'll soon be back on the road without any problems!

Many thanks for the information! It sounds like despite the control and power electronics being at a decent level, you didn't end up having any further problems. Thank goodness! That reassures me a little. I will contact the workshop as soon as possible. Hopefully my problem will be solved without too much effort. Good luck with your Passat too, hopefully no more problems will arise. Thanks again and let's stay in touch! Bye!

Hey, I actually had a similar problem with my 2015 VW Passat Diesel just last week. I also had the warning lights come on, but it was a worn alternator that caused it. It wasn't about the active hood in my case. Yes, it was indeed quite a problem and had to be fixed in the workshop. The experience with the garage was actually okay, even though I had to wait a while for my car. Have to say, the repair was necessary and it helped. Hope that helps you. All the best!
