ABS warning light flashes during diagnosis with Carly - Is this normal?
ABS warning light
Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Toyota Avensis. During the main inspection, the ABS system indicated a fault. I tried to diagnose the problem with Carly, but there is no Avensis Verso in the type list. I tried with the 2002 Corolla and it worked. During the diagnosis, the ABS light starts flashing after about 20% and stays that way until the end of the diagnosis. However, no error is displayed. As soon as I remove Carly from the OBD socket, the ABS light goes out again. I have tried various procedures, but the result is always the same. Is it possible that the vehicle has no fault and the flashing of the ABS light is caused by the diagnostics? Is it usual for such an old vehicle to be read out by the TÜV? I would be grateful for any tips. Many thanks in advance. Greetings, Jens.

Hi JensD., it's possible that the ABS light flashing could be due to the diagnostic tool you're using. However, it's also possible that there's an issue with the ABS system that isn't being picked up by the tool. If the ABS light continues to flash during the diagnosis, it would be best to have a professional mechanic take a look at it. ABS system is crucial for your safety on the road.
