Thank you for your feedback! I'm reassured to know that it was okay again after the sensor change. Can you remember how much the replacement and repair cost you? And has anything else occurred with the ABS/DSC system since then? I really want to avoid any more problems coming my way. Thank you!

Sure, I can still remember it. The repair of the ABS sensor cost me around €1000. But nothing has happened since then. Since the workshop visit, the thing has been running like clockwork again and the failure of the wheel speed sensor (ABS sensor) has been fixed. So it was definitely worth the money. So don't worry, just get it repaired and everything should work again. You just have to shell out a bit of cash!

Thanks again for the information. Of course, €1000 sounds a lot, but if it's fixed and doesn't occur again, it's worth it. I will definitely take my Golf Plus to the garage as soon as possible. Your experience has really helped me and eased my worries a little. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2010 VW Touran. The ABS light was also on and the mechanic eventually identified the ABS sensor as the problem. It was a serious problem as driving without ABS can be risky, especially in wet and snowy conditions. Of course, if the warning light comes on, it is important to take the car to the garage as soon as possible. Once the sensor had been replaced, everything was fine again. In any case, you should have it looked at as soon as possible. Hope this helps you!
