ABS warning light

Hey guys! I have a problem with my Peugeot 1007 Diesel, built in 2007, it now has 105575 kilometers on it. The ABS system is acting up, the ABS warning light is on and the brake pedal is not responding as it should. The brakes feel mushy and unresponsive and there is also a warning light in the speedometer. Ultimately, I think it has something to do with the pressure sensor on the brake booster. Have any of you ever had to deal with something like this? How was it with your mechanic? It's really important for me as I didn't have such a good experience with my previous mechanic. I would be grateful for any experience and tips!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 3008 Diesel, built in 2010. The warning lights also started spinning around and that mushy feeling when braking... just awful. just awful. It turned out that the brake system had been bled incorrectly. So yes, this was indeed a serious problem. The garage had to bleed the system properly and then everything ran smoothly again. It wasn't a quick fix, but it worked. Hope that helps you a bit. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for your answer! Your experience sounds really nerve-wracking. Can you remember how much the whole thing cost you at the mechanic? And have there been any other problems since then? I'm really looking forward to your answer!

Hey, after I went to the mechanic, they actually fixed the pressure sensor signal error on the brake booster! As for the cost, it cost me €90 to bleed the brake system properly. But after that, everything ran perfectly again, as it should. No further problems since then. To be honest, it's worth the investment if you don't want to end up in the garage all the time. Hope that reassures you a little! Good luck!

Hey, thanks for your information! You've really helped me. 90€ doesn't sound too bad if it means I don't have to worry anymore. I'll make an appointment with a mechanic and have the brake system checked. I hope everything will be fine after that. Thanks again and see you next time!
