Hello, thanks for the quick response. My A5 now has 214567 km on it, and the last service was in the spring. At this mileage, it could well be that the DPF is actually giving up the ghost. Your tip will help me, thank you! I'll see if I can get it checked out at the garage as soon as possible. Can you recommend the garage where you had it done?

Hey, that sounds like it really is a case for the garage. Especially since you've already got over 200,000 km on it, there's a pretty good chance that the DPF needs replacing. With my A7, it was about the same mileage. I had the repair done at a workshop in Hamburg. I was really happy with them, clean work and a fair price. They did say that it's a fairly common problem with the diesel models of our model years, but that changing the DPF doesn't necessarily mean the end of the car. So don't be discouraged! Hopefully you'll get it sorted quickly and without too much hassle. Good luck with it!

Hello, thanks for the recommendation! I'll make some enquiries. As you say, it's not the end of the world, but it is a bit annoying. Even though the replacement will cost me a lot, I just love my Audi. And a good car should be treated well. Wish me luck that everything goes quickly. Thanks again for your help!

Good afternoon, according to the application you can trigger the DPF regeneration.
But I am unable to find where this option is.

Thank you very much
Hi jrmayor, forcing a DPF regeneration via an application is not recommended unless you're a trained mechanic. It's a complex process and if done incorrectly, it can cause more harm than good. Given the symptoms you've described, it's best to take your Audi to a professional mechanic for a thorough inspection. If the DPF is indeed heavily loaded or faulty, they can perform a professional regeneration or replace the filter if necessary. Please let us know how it goes. Do you have any other questions?

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2013 Audi A7 model, so I'm no expert but I do have some experience as I've been through this before. My garage found that the diesel particulate filter was faulty due to high mileage. I paid 1550 euros to have it replaced and the car has been running like new ever since. Maybe it's the same with your A5. Can you tell me how many kilometers your car has on the clock and when the filter was last changed? Then I might be able to help you more precisely.
