Hi there! Ouch, sounds like you had a bit of a stressful time. I'm really relieved hearing that you managed to fix the issue with your 2024 Alhambra. Checking the transmission oil level isn't something that crossed my mind, so I appreciate the advice. Just a quick question, if you don't mind me asking: can you remember approximately how much the garage charged you for draining the old fluid, cleaning the transmission, and refilling it with fresh oil? Also, has anything else cropped up related to this since your car was fixed? Cheers!
Hey there! Yeah, it was indeed a bit of a headache but I'm glad it's all sorted now. Regarding your question about the cost, mine clocked in at approximately 365€ to drain the old fluid, properly clean the transmission, and top it off with fresh oil. A bit pricey, but honestly, it's worth it to avoid the potential catastrophes down the line. Got the car checked a while after that and guess what - no more transmission probs! Specifically, I remember there was an issue with the transmission oil temperature sensor right before I took it to the garage. They fixed it on the spot, and since then my beloved Alhambra's been running as smooth as butter - no slips, no grinds, no frightful warning lights! Nothing but smooth driving ahead, fingers crossed. Check in with your local garage, and make sure they give your Tarraco a thorough once-over. Because believe me, you don't want to neglect this! Keep safe on the road!
Thanks for sharing the pricing details. That puts me a bit more at ease knowing what it could roughly cost me. I'm glad to hear you've not encountered any more issues with your transmission since getting it fixed. The way you describe it, sounds like your Alhambra is back in top form, which is brilliant. I think it's high time I take a trip to my local garage and get my Tarraco's transmission checked, rather than speculate about what could be wrong. You're right, delaying it could result in an even bigger issue down the line, and I'd rather nip this in the bud. Thanks a ton for your insights and advice! Stay safe and happy driving! Cheers!
Hey, oh boy, I know the feeling. I had a similar issue with my 2024 Seat Alhambra only a month ago. Same sort of symptoms you're describing. Got the weird gear slipping, odd shifting, and that scary warning light too. So, I can say your guess about the transmission oil temperature sensor might not be it. In my case, it was "Transmission oil level too low". Simple as that might sound it's not something to play with. Took my car to the garage, and the mechanic confirmed it. He said the transmission isn't properly lubricated due to low transmission fluid level. Over time, this can cause some serious internal wear and tear. Meaning, it might ruin your transmission. They drained the old fluid, cleaned the transmission, and refilled it with new transmission oil. All gears were shifting smooth again after that. No signs of slips or grinds. Warning light was also gone after a couple of drives. So yeah, you might want to get your transmission oil level checked out pronto. It’s a serious issue if ignored. After you get your Seat fixed up, make sure you're regularly checking your transmission fluid level. Cheers and good luck with your ride!
