Hey, that's super helpful! I never would've thought a cable problem might be causing all this chaos. Looks like I've got a starting point now to go back to a garage. Just out of curiosity, do you remember roughly how much the fix set you back? Also, after they fixed it, did you run into similar problems again or was everything smooth sailing since then? Cheers!
Hey! The whole ordeal cost me about 170€. They replaced that faulty cable connected to the outside door handle electronics which seemed to solve all the problems. Since then, no more unexpected light shows or trying to break into my own car - all smooth sailing! Keyless entry system has been working like a charm ever since. Keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way! Hope the fix sorts everything out for you too!
Cheers for the details, really appreciate it! Your information gives me a clearer picture of what could be happening with my Arkana. I'll discuss this with my local garage and hopefully, it'll only need that replacement cable you suggested. €170 is a small price to pay to avoid all this stress. Fingers crossed – let's hope it's one and done, just like your Talisman. Thanks again, and ride smooth!
Hey there! So, I had a similar snafu with my 2022 Renault Talisman not long back. The issue seemed similar – my keyless entry system was on the fritz and my lights were having a disco party of their own. Turned out, the problem was a defective cable connection to the outside door handle electronics. In my case, the garage guys spent quite a while diagnosing the issue after a series of tests. They found that the cause for the erratic behavior of the keyless system and the lights were linked to this very cable. Essentially, the cable was hampering signal transmission which made it appear as if the entire keyless system had gone rogue. Turns out, this wasn't a minor issue and needed immediate attention, mainly to avoid potential risk of getting locked out of the vehicle randomly when the system would decide to lose its marbles. In terms of job work, they had to replace that electronic cable linked to the door handle and a bit of circuit work to smooth everything out. Hope you find this information helpful. It might be an entirely different problem in your whip, but hey, gotta figure out where to start from, right? Good luck!
