Hey, Thanks for the advice! Now that you mentioned, I realized my Arkana has never had a combustion chamber cleaning before. I've been driving this car heavily for the last couple of months, so that could be partly to blame I guess. No major changes in fuel type or anything though. Funny enough, my mileage is 93018 km and I just got the car serviced at the last odometer reading of 90000 km. Maybe the cleaner was overlooked at my last service? Anyway, I'll take it to my local mechanic guys, see if they can clean out the combustion chamber as you suggested. Hope this will rectify my problems! Thanks again for sharing your experience, its been really helpful. Will keep you posted on how it goes!
Hey, Glad to help! From what you've mentioned, it does sound like a clean out of the combustion chamber could do some good to your Arkana. Heavy use and not getting it cleaned before might have taken a toll. Regarding the service you mentioned, unfortunately, some service centers do overlook this part. So, its always a good idea to explicitly ask them to do a thorough check and cleaning next time! Your last service was at 90000 km, the standard advice is to clean out the combustion chamber every 30,000 to 45,000 kilometers. So yeah, definitely get it to your local guys, but also, ask around or research a bit before you agree to a cost for the cleaning. From my experience, rates can vary wildly from one mechanic to another. Good luck with your fix!, fingers crossed for you. Keep me updated, Curious to know how it all turns out!
Hey, Your advice is a goldmine! I had no idea routine combustion chamber cleaning was a thing. Now I feel a bit like a newbie, haha. I'll surely keep your advice in mind about the frequency of the cleaning service, didn't know that one either. And you're spot on about the shop prices, going to put on my negotiation hat and do some pricing research before I settle for a mechanic. Thanks for reminding me not to get ripped off! Will definitely keep you posted on how things go, appreciate all your advice and good wishes. Fingers crossed here too, hopefully this is the last I see of the engine light. Always a relief to turn to friendly folks like yourself in times of car trouble! Cheers, catch you soon!
Hey, Ah, yes, sounds kind of familiar. I only have some experience with cars, not a pro by any means. But I had a strangely similar issue with my 2021 Renault Koleos, Gasoline model. The culprit ended up being Deposits in the combustion chamber, messing things up in there. To get it fixed, I took my Koleos to my local workshop. The mechanics were pretty decent and explained to me that the engine light and power loss were due to the deposits messing with normal cylinder function. It makes sense that your Arkana might be showing the same symptoms. And yeah, cleaning up all that junk cost me a solid 425 euro. Without seeing your Arkana, I can only give you a broad perspective. Do you know if your car has had a combustion chamber cleaning before? It might be due for one. Also, any recent changes in your car use or fuel type? Those could factor into this as well. Hope this helps a bit! Let me know!
