Oi, cheers for sharing that! I drive a '20 Tarraco myself. Haven't got the same tailgate issue but now I'm thinking I should be on lookout for any wonky wiring, lord knows I don't want similar headaches. But hey, I reckon it's always smart to be prepared. Mind if I ask how much they charged you for fixing that stubborn cable and making your Seat Leon ST all obedient again? And has anything else popped up since? Any more alien warning lights or is she still running as smooth as butter? Keep me posted, eh!
Hey, no worries at all, happy to help! Well, for the cable issue, it cost me about 95 quid. Not the cheapest but hey, avoiding further headaches down the line, it's worth it, ain't it? Since then, the old gal's been as good as gold, no more rude surprises or alien warning lights as you put it, ha! After your comment about the Hall sensor, got me thinking back on my visit to the mechanic. Turns out, there was a bit of a problem with that as well, but they sorted it out no problem. I totally forgot to mention that earlier, my bad! So yeah, just wanted to put your mind at rest. I would guess your 2022 Seat Tarraco might just need a professional once-over, that's all. Just remember to breathe easy and trust the skilled hands of a reputable mechanic. They've got this! Keep me in the loop on how it goes, will ya?
Thanks a ton! Really appreciate your detailed insight. Helps me get a better handle on the situation, you know? Saved me a lot of unnecessary panic. It's comforting to know that you've not had any more uninvited surprises pop up since getting your issues sorted. That feedback about the Hall sensor is pretty enlightening too. I've been fixated on it being the culprit for some reason, but I'm definitely going to ask the garage to give the electricals a good look over after hearing your story. Here's hoping it doesn't dig too deep into the pocket but hey, like you said, better than having a whole cascading series of problems down the line! Will take your advice and not let my past experience with that crummy garage mess with my head. Trusting the process this time around. Will surely keep you in the loop after my Tarraco's little trip to the doctors. Take care and thanks again. Drive safe, alright? Catch ya soon. Cheers!
Hey, I can somewhat relate, though I drive a 2019 Seat Leon ST. Had a similar situation, tailgate was being stubborn as a mule. Funny enough, it wasn't the Hall sensor playing up. Turned out my car had a defective cable that had caused the problem. The jarring warning light on the dash was enough to get me sweating bullets, felt like an alien language. But, let me tell you, it wasn't as daunting as it initially appeared. Mechanics at the garage pinpointed the issue fairly quickly, so wasn't completely at sea. The problem lay in the electricals, the cable connecting the tailgate 'n dashboard had gone on the fritz. Talk about bad wiring, eh? And to clarify, it wasn't a minor glitch to be honest. If left unattended, could've led to more severe electrical issues. But, got the cable changed and she's been running smooth ever since, touch wood. Try not to worry too much, just get your car checked at a trusted Seat garage, and they should be able to sort you out. Good luck!
