Hey! Appreciate the suggestion. I reckon that the last oil change was during the latest service around 173,479 km, but can't recall the exact oil type the mechanic used - should've paid more attention, to be honest. Going forward, I'll make sure to use the recommended oil. I think I'll drop by my local workshop this week to finally sort the issue out. Fingers crossed it's not a big repair. Cheers for the advice!

Hey there! Sounds like a plan. Given your latest service and the mileage you provided, I’d guess your Renault might have been filled with an incorrect or low-quality engine oil. Could be causing the warning lights and the metal shavings. The right engine oil is crucial for optimum performance and extending the life of the engine. Remember, your Arkana Hybrid requires specific oils - full synthetic, low viscosity, and ‘ACEA C5’ compliant, so don't compromise on this when you visit your local garage. That was a mistake I learned from. Regarding my story, it turned out the garage I went to initially had used an inappropriate oil for my Megane. It caused unnecessary issues down the road. So, don't overlook the importance of the right oil for your car. Once again, hope everything will work out for you. Keep us updated on the outcome! Stay safe!

Hello again, you've been a ray of hope in this situation. I feel way more informed now than I did when I first posted. Was totally overlooking the oil type. I'll make sure to emphasize on the full synthetic, low viscosity ‘ACEA C5’ compliant oil in my next visit to the garage. Hoping it won't cause too much damage to the pocket. I'll most definitely post an update once I get it sorted. Won't want others to face the same troubles as I have. Thanks again! Stay safe! Cheers!

Hey there! You know, I ran into a similar issue with my 2020 Renault Megane. I'd categorize myself as someone with some experience with cars, no pro by any means but I can handle basic stuff. I initially tried to do a DIY oil change but that didn't solve it. I ended up taking it to my local workshop. To my surprise, the issue was due to incorrect engine oil in the engine - had to shell out around 175 euro to get it fixed. It would be helpful if you could provide more info about your vehicle - oil change history, types of oil used, etc. That way we can dig a bit deeper into what might be causing your problems. Good luck!
