Appreciate your share! Hearing your story has definitely taken a load off my mind. Sounds like the root of your problem might point to my situation with the Arkana too. I surely hope it's as simple of an issue as the mirror connection rather than something more serious. Just wondering though, do you recall how much that fix cost you at the reputable garage? And has that pesky issue, or anything else similar, shown up again since they've sorted it out? Fingers crossed it's only been smooth sailing for you! Cheers!
Hey, glad my previous story gave you a bit of peace of mind. Yeah I reckon it's quite likely your Arkana may have the same mirror connection issue as I faced with my Mégane. As for the cost at the mechanic, it set me back about 155€. Not the cheapest, but considering that it completely sorted the problem, I guess it was worth the price. And to answer your next question, since that fix everything's been on the up. The heated mirror hasn't given me any hassle, and my windows are functioning normally too, pretty smooth sailing indeed. Just remember to take it to a trustworthy mechanic. Don't want to end up paying more than necessary. Good luck with your Arkana, hope it gets sorted soon!
Thanks so much! Your advice has been a real lifesaver. Hearing that everything's been working just fine since your fix does give me a lot of peace of mind. The price doesn't sound too bad considering, so it seems like a decent trade-off for getting everything sorted out properly. I'll go ahead and find myself a reliable garage and make sure they can get right to the heart of the problem, no messing about. Fingers crossed it'll be smooth sailing for me too once it's all been dealt with. Really appreciate your help. Cheers!
Hey there, looks like we've got similar stories. I had a similar issue with my 2019 Renault Mégane a while back. Turns out it was the cable connection to the mirror that was defective for me. The signal was super inconsistent and messing up my heated windows. Additionally, the plug connection on the mirror glass had a bit of oxidation, which could've been where the fault in the function was coming from. The good news is, it wasn't a huge issue. A competent mechanic at a reputable garage sorted it out pretty quick. Unfortunately, I didn't do it myself, so I can't really walk you through how they did it, just that it did take some fiddling to get everything back in order. Hope this eases your worries a bit. Good luck!
