2022 Dacia Duster Cruise Control Malfunction and Related Issues

Fault stored

Cruise control without function

Hey! I've got a 2022 Dacia Duster (84619 KM on the clock, runs on gas). Recently, my cruise control's gone haywire and I'm getting a fault stored message. The last trip to the garage was a nightmare and I think the issue might be connected to the faulty cruise control. Has anyone else had a similar problem? What did your mechanic say? Would appreciate any advice or shared experiences! Thanks in advance.

Hey there, I feel you. Last year I experienced something similar with my 2019 Dacia Sandero. Outta nowhere, my car's intellilight system went awry and, like you, I was left baffled. Turned out it was a Cable connection defective issue, you won't believe it! I took her to my local garage. The goodfellas there detected the problem, tinkered a bit with the cable connections (particularly around the car's ECU if my memory serves me right). They explained it's not a common but a serious issue because your car's electronics rely heavily on these connections. I hope this helps you out. Definitely have it checked with your mechanic as soon as possible. Keep us posted! Take it easy.

Hey there, Seriously?! A cable connection issue, huh? Who would've thought that! I'll definitely keep that in mind when I take my Duster to the garage. Your story's given me some insight on where to start looking, thanks a lot for that. Funny how these tiny issues can potentially mess up the whole system, eh? Anyway, I'm curious though, do you happen to remember what kind of dent this put in your wallet to fix up your Sandero? Also, has any other problem cropped up after they sorted out the cable connection? Catch you later!

Hey! You've got that right about the tiny issues causing big headaches, that also happened with my Sandero! To answer your question about the cost though, it was pretty reasonable, 95€ in fact. Just enough to get the defective cable connection sorted, nothing crazy. And you better believe it, the car's been running smooth since the repair! Especially the cruise control, it's been on top form, way better than before. These mechanics, I tell ya, they sure know what they're doing (most of the times, haha). Anyway, I hope your Duster will be back in fine fettle soon. Keep us updated, alright? Cheers!

Hey hearing that price tag and the success story of your Sandero gave me relief, not gonna lie. I've been stressing a bit about cost and potential further damages, but your experience gives me hope. Coming back to my Duster though, I'll get it checked out as soon as possible. It'll be great to hit the road without having cruise control giving me the cold shoulder. Absolutely, will keep you posted on the progress. Till then, fingers crossed and hope for the best! Later!
