Hey folks, I need some help with my 2021 Seat Tarraco, Gasoline model, clocking up 138,756 KMs. Recently my ride's been giving me a headache - black smoke on acceleration, faulty check engine light, cold start time's getting longer, plus a loss in power. It's irritating as the engine won't maintain a steady rumble, jerks on acceleration, and has started to stall while idling. Even worse, sometimes it won't start at all! I suspect it's got something to do with Mixture preparation. Anyone experienced this nightmare with their motor and how did your mechanic handle it? Cheers.

Hey, I feel your pain here. Got a 2018 Seat Leon that was giving me similar grief. Those symptoms sound very much like a faulty fuel pressure regulator. You bet, it's a serious issue because this piece could wreak havoc on your engine's performance and overall health. My car was acting up in the same way - spewing out more smoke than usual, having trouble starting and showing noticeable power loss. My mechanic hinted the issue at the fuel pressure regulator. After a bit of digging around the garage, turns out he was right. They found the regulator wasn't maintaining the right pressure, messing with the fuel mix and causing all those problems. Replacing the defective regulator pulled my ride right out of this trouble. Didn't miss a beat since then. The machine's been smooth, starting first go and power feels back to normal. So, definitely get your car in the garage, have them check your fuel pressure regulator. Good luck with your Tarraco!

Wow, sounds like you've been through the same ordeal I'm going through now. Thanks for sharing! So, you're saying a faulty fuel pressure regulator was the main culprit, huh? Interesting. I hope it won't be too much of a squeeze on the wallet to get it fixed. Just out of curiosity, how much did it set you back for the fuel pressure regulator replacement? And since you got it repaired, has anything else popped up that's giving you a hard time? Appreciate the info in advance, cheers!

Hey, glad I could offer some insights! Well, to give a ballpark figure, getting that pesky fuel pressure regulator replaced cost me around 250€. A bit of a pain in the wallet, I ain't gonna lie. But it sorted out the issues flat. Since then, my ride's been sound as a bell. You remember I suspected the mixture preparation faulty, right? Well, the cool part is that fixing the regulator sorted that out too. It's been smooth sailing since I paid my mechanic that visit. So yeah, while it might feel like a little pinch on the pockets right now, it's definitely worth it in the long run. Knocking on wood here, but since that garage visit, not a single mechanical headache has come my way. Good luck with your Tarraco, fella. Keep me posted, yeah? Cheers!

Wicked stuff! A big thanks for your advice. Seems like a trip to the mechanic for my Tarraco is due. Your experience suggests it could very well be that darn fuel pressure regulator. I think it's well worth the temporary wallet pinch if it gets those issues fixed. I'm holding high hopes that after this, things will smooth out like yours. Cheers for helping me sort this mess out. I'll definitely keep you posted about how things go. Fingers crossed!
