Hey, thanks for the quick reply, appreciate it! My Tarraco is a Diesel with approximately 140038 KM on it. Religiously serviced and well-maintained, no significant issues in the past, just this new AC glitch. Got last serviced a few months ago. I'll definitely take your advice and get it checked soon. Cheers!
Hey there, glad to hear your car's been well looked after - it really helps in the long run! The symptoms you're describing are definitely odd but not unheard of. In my old SEAT, I had a similar issue once where it wasn’t blowing as cold as it should, and guess what? It was just a low refrigerant issue. Since your car has a hefty number of kilometres on it, it's entirely possible the refrigerant is just low and needs a top-up. This is something that isn't necessarily done as part of your regular service, so it might just have been overlooked. Another thing could be its thermostat. Sometimes, if the thermostat’s stuck open, it doesn’t allow the engine to heat up properly. You might want to check into that as well. But again, don't just take my word for it, get it to a good mechanic to analyze. Also, keep in mind that a line/cable can be defective even if the car is well-maintained and serviced regularly. Let us know how you go. Keep us posted!
Hey, thanks again for the advice! I never considered the refrigerant might need a top up, keen to see if that's the culprit. The thermostat suggestion is interesting too. I'll be sure to let the mechanic know about these possibilities when I take it in. Really appreciate your help here. I'll certainly let you all know how it pans out. Have a good one, cheers!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2019 SEAT Ateca. I'm not a total car whiz, but I know a thing or two about them. I took my car to a local workshop. The root cause was a line/cable from the sensor that was defective. They replaced it for me and boom, all fixed up for just 95.00 Euro. In your case, it could be the same issue but can't say for sure without a proper check. I'd recommend having a qualified mechanic take a look at your car. Can you share a bit more about your specific model and engine type? The more details, the more accurate help we can provide. Good luck!
