Hey there! Thanks a ton for sharing your experience, sounds like a right pickle you got yourself in with the Kadjar - similar boat here with my Arkana. Your words of wisdom have kind of affirmed my suspicion about this whole fuel injector thingy. Your mechanic sure went to town on the clean up and strip down, eh? Praying I don't have to undergo the same stress! Hey, by the way, do you remember how much you had to cough up for the whole fix? And since all that, anything else pop up that's been giving you a headache? Once again, appreciate your input. Hoping my Arkana starts behaving herself soon - got to get this sorted quick smart. Cheers!
Hey! Glad my previous run-in with injector problems could provide you with some insight. To answer your question about the cost - yes, fixing the injector did burn a bit of a hole in my pocket. Total damage done was 515€. I know! Not exactly pennies, right? But to be honest, I haven't had any more issues since then, so in that sense, it was money well-spent. As far as any new headaches, thankfully, it's been smooth sailing so far. After the fix, both my Kadjar's performance and peace of mind have returned to their usual top-notch levels. Honestly, don't sweat it too much. Getting your Arkana sorted sooner rather than later would save you a ton of stress in the long run and from your description, it does sound like those injectors need some love. Remember, a stitch in time saves nine! All the best with the repair work, fingers crossed it'll be a smooth ride from here onwards. Cheers!
Well, your words do put my mind slightly at ease, so thanks again! You're right, better take that hit to the pocket now than deal with a dodgy vehicle later on. Your Kadjar story's definitely given me the jitters though - I'll ensure my Arkana gets some serious TLC real soon. Bit of a bummer about the cost but hey, seems like a necessary evil, right? Anyways, it's great to hear that so far you've been in clear waters post that ordeal. Here's to hoping my Arkana and I will be coasting smoothly post this chaos too! Appreciate your advice and insights. I'll play it smart, save myself the future grief and sort those injectors out. Stay tuned for updates, you’ll be the first to hear once my beauty's back on the road! Cheers and have a good one!
Hey! Your hunch sounds spot-on. I had a very similar fuss with my 2017 Renault Kadjar not so long ago, around the same mileage. Same symptoms: erratic engine, poor acceleration, black smoke...you name it. Ok, so here's my story. Took my Kadjar to the garage where they ran a diagnostic check and turned out, just like I'd suspected - it was the fuel injector. It wasn't a pretty sight, but the term they used was "Injector internally defective". As for the work done, I don’t want to scare you but it was quite a mouthful! The garage had to do a complete strip down of the injector assembly, they cleaned out some nasty carbon build-up and replaced a few internal components. I was told that the internal parts of the injector had simply worn out over time and that was causing all the trouble. Was it a serious issue? Well... kind of! A faulty injector can mess up the fuel/air mix and put extra strain on the engine. Neglected for long, it could damage the engine real bad. A piece of advice: don't delay it. Get your Arkana into a garage ASAP. Even though it might feel like a pain, it will save you the stress of your car leaving you stranded. And remember, a well-oiled car is a happy car! All the best.
