Hey there, your ordeal with the Megane sounds exactly like what I've been going through with my Arkana. So it was a wonky antenna after all. Well, that's a relief! While I'm slightly dreading the thought of another garage trip, knowing where to pin the blame gives me some peace at least. Just out of curiosity, do you happen to recall roughly what the diagnostic and antenna replacement set you back? Also, since you got it fixed, anything else weird coming up, or has it been smooth sailing? Thanks for the info, really appreciate it. Cheers!
Hey, Yep, I remember the bill for the whole fix quite well, seeing as my bank account is still nursing those bruises haha! The mechanic charged me €255 for taking off the broken antenna and fitting in the new one. A bit costly but at least I've got my sound and Nav back on track, so that's something to celebrate, eh? As for anything else popping up post repair, gladly it's been pretty smooth. I reckon the Antenna was the culprit all along. Once it was sorted, the radio reception signal and everything else fell right back into line. No more weird signals or dead air. So, fingers crossed your Arkana will run just as smooth once that blimmin' antenna of yours is dealt with. Do let me know how it goes, alright? Good luck, champ!
Hey, Wow, Thanks for the info! I've got an idea of what I might be facing cost-wise, plus it's good to hear from someone who got through this hassle already. Seems like it's something necessary to keep the jams and Nav working well, don't want to end up lost somewhere without tunes, haha! Hearing your Megane has been running smoothly after the fix gives me hope for my Arkana. I'll definitely give you a heads-up about how it all pans out. Thanks for the chat and the well wishes. Cheers!
Hey, I've got a 2017 Renault Megane and had a familiar issue not too long ago. The Nav and Audio both went on the blink, and yeah, it turned out to be a wonky antenna causing the trouble. Couldn't get a decent signal worth a darn. Just like yours, my car had a fair share of kms on it as well. It wasn't a crazy serious issue though. The garage ran a diagnostic, confirmed it was the antenna, then they had to remove the old one and install a new one. Kind of a pain, sure, but nothing too catastrophic. Biggest hassle was not having tunes for a bit. Anyway, here's hoping it's a fix that's just as straightforward for you. Good luck!
