2021 Mazda 6 Electrical Issues: Seeking Guidance on Flex-Ray Bus and Other Related Concerns

General electric malfunction

Hey everyone, I've got this 2021 Mazda 6, gasoline engine, 70539 KM mileage, acting up big time. It's showing a bunch of electrical problems - the navigation system is toast, the dashboard warning lights are freaking out and I'm suspecting an issue with the Flex-Ray bus. I had a lousy experience with my last mechanic, so I'm nervous. Has anyone else had these problems? How was your mechanic able to handle it? Would be glad to hear about your experiences. Thanks!

Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2021 Mazda 3 once. Things went crazy, the navigation went bonkers, lights kept flickering on the dashboard. Pretty much the same circus your car is showing right now. So, dug a bit around that problem and found it was an issue with the cable connection and plug. Took it to the garage, the mechanic got dirty under the hood, ran a few tests, checked the connectors, and twisted some things around. Turns out, it was a defective cable connection and a bad plug that was causing all the fuss. After fixing it, all the electrical issues were gone. It was not that serious, just a matter of discovery and fixing the right thing. Hope this helps! Cheers.

Hey, thanks for sharing! Glad to hear your issue got resolved without a hitch. Your story sounds reassuring and it's probably the same with my Mazda then. Out of curiosity, do you remember how much you had to shell out for the whole repairing process? Also, since the fix, has your Mazda thrown any other curveballs your way? I appreciate your help! Cheers!

Hey there! After the mechanic had a look, we zeroed in on the exact problem and it turned out to be this cable connection or plug being defective, as I mentioned. Getting it all squared away set me back by 155.00 €. Honestly, I'd say it was worth every penny because, since then, my Mazda has been running smoother without giving me another heart attack with any Flex-Ray bus error messages or suchlike, touch wood! I'm really hopeful, given the similarities, that it'll be the same deal for you and you’ll be back on the road without any hitches. Hope this clears up your worries! Take care!

Hey again! That's great to know and thanks again for the insight. It's relieving to hear your Mazda has been showing no signs of trouble since the repair. Honestly, I'd be happy to part with a similar chunk of change if it gets my car back to working as smoothly and reliably as yours. I guess I just needed some reassurance before diving back into the mechanics pool again. Here hoping I get my issue ironed out with as much ease as you did. Thanks for your help and guidance! Take care, cheers!
