Hey, thanks for the advice and sharing your experience! I'm relieved to hear it wasn't a total car-astrophe on your end. Your situation sounds eerily familiar, and it's given me a bit more confidence to haul the ol' Arkana into the shop. Just out of curiosity, do you remember roughly how much that all set you back at your mechanic's? And have there been any other related issues cropping up since your repair? I'm trying to prep myself for the possibility of shelling out some serious dough. Any extra info would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
Hey back at ya,! No worries, always happy to share my experiences if they can help someone out. You're right to be prepared—it can sting a little when you get the final bill. For my Kadjar, the work needed to sort out the faulty Transmission oil and the low oil level ended up costing me about 365€. But let me tell you, it was worth every cent to have the peace of mind and a smooth ride again. As for other issues after the repair, there've been none related to the transmission. Once I saw the mechanic and got the Transmission oil pressure fixed, it's been smooth sailing. So, fingers crossed it'll be the same for your Arkana too. Best of luck with the repair!
Hey,! Thanks a lot for the helpful insight, and most importantly, for putting my nerves at ease a bit. It's always better to be prepared, and now I've got a rough idea what to expect financially—€365 sounds steep but manageable for peace of mind. So fingers crossed it's just the transmission oil issue for me as well. Really appreciate the support. I'm taking the Arkana in first thing tomorrow. Let's hope it's a quick fix like yours was. You take care, and here's hoping I don't have to return anytime soon with another car saga! Cheers!
Hey there,! Looks like your suspicions could be on point. I have a 2017 Renault Kadjar and I had a bit similar issue sometime ago. I was experiencing irregular gear shifts and a bit of grinding sound too. It wasn't a pleasant experience, to say the least. Turned out, my transmission oil level was incredibly low. I had no idea back then how severely low oil level can cause damage to the transmission. The lack of transmission fluid can cause the transmission to overheat and wear out components quicker than usual. In my case, the mechanic did an oil change and filled it up to the recommended level. It also required some minor fixes to the components that were affected due to the low oil. It was indeed a serious issue but thankfully, caught it before any major damage occurred. Anyway, my advice would be to get it checked out right away. If it is something to do with the Transmission oil, you'd want to tackle that sooner rather than later. Hope it turns out well for you. Cheers!
