Hey, thanks for the detailed response! I appreciate your insights and it sounds like you had quite a battle with your Rogue. If it's not too much to ask, do you remember what the dent to your wallet was for getting this throttle valve issue squared away? And ever since the fix, did any related or different problems pop up? Just trying to prepare myself for what's next! Thanks in advance.

Hey, glad I could help a bit! Yeah, the ol' Rogue had me on the ropes for a bit, but nowadays it's running as smooth as butter again. To answer your question about the dough: whipping that problematic throttle valve back into shape set me back about 345€. Not exactly pocket change, right? But hey, you can't put a price on a trouble-free ride. As for any extra sneaky pests cropping up after the fix? Nope, nothing at all! As a matter of fact, the throttle valve potentiometer error was completely sorted afterward. I guess the moral of the story is finding a mechanic you trust to get the job done right. Best of luck with your own mechanical wrestling match, my friend! Stay safe.

Oh geez, that's some chunk of change but I see where you're coming from - good ride is worth it. You've set my mind somewhat at ease knowing that once it's fixed, it should be sorted for good. Guess I've got to dig deep and cough up the cash for that fix! Thanks again for all your help. It's been immensely reassuring. Time to go find a mechanic I can trust and get my Murano back on track. Wish me luck, and safe roads to you!

Hey, I was in the same shoes with my 2017 Nissan Rogue not too long ago. Started pretty much the same - moody engine, bad consumption, and on/off like a Christmas tree. After some arm twisting, the ol' beast ended up in the garage. Turns out you're spot on, the mechanic found a problem with the throttle valve, more specifically it was the internal mechanics of it being defective. Not to scare you, but it was a bit of a serious issue. There was a lot of work involved to get the throttle valve replaced as it's not a small component you can just swap out in a flash. Required someone really knowing their stuff to work on it. Plus, it got my ride off the road for a day. Keep in mind, every car acts up in slightly different ways with such issues but judging from your description and my experience, it does sound very similar. Hope this helps. Good luck!
