Hey there, Yikes, your story is like déjà vu. That ECU problem sounds a lot like my situation with the NX right now. You've really put my mind halfway at ease, so thanks for sharing. It’s not the news I wanted, but hey, if it’ll get my ride back up and humming smoothly, why not? Let's play a quick round of memory games - can you call back on how much the ECU replacement set you back? And has everything been running well since, or any new goblins popped up out of the blue? Appreciate it!
Heya, Ah, the good ol' memory game - let's see how well I do. The ECU replacement did sting a bit. Had to dole out around 240 Euro, but trust me, it was worth every penny. Seems like the mechanic was a wizard because since then, my wheels have been running as good as new. It's been smooth sailing, so all that dread about revisiting the mechanics turned out to be for naught. And no new gremlins to report, thankfully! The software drama seems all buttoned up now. So in my honest opinion, bite the bullet and haul your NX to the pros. Guess, it's better to get it done sooner rather than later. Best of luck with your car troubles, dude! Take care!
Heya, 240 Euro, eh? A bit stiffer than I would've liked but well, if that fixes the problems then, yeah, looks like I'll have to bite the bullet, as you rightly suggested. Really appreciate you sharing your experience though, seriously. At least now, I've got a fair idea of what I might be heading into. I'll make sure to post an update after my trip to the workshop, let’s hope for a gremlin-free journey post-repair like you! Till then, ride safe and smooth. Cheers!
Hey there, Reading your symptoms immediately takes me back to my own experience with my 2017 Lexus RX Hybrid. Had a similar issue not too long ago, with sneaky warning lights and flickering like an old horror movie. Turns out, the engine control unit (ECU) worked like a charm after being replaced but, it wasn't programmed to my vehicle. That's where things got tricky. Not your everyday oil change, you know what I mean? Had to decamp to the garage again so they could sync the ECU to my wheels. I mean, it wasn't a piece of cake, but it was definitely something that needed to be sorted out ASAP. I'm no expert, but I suppose if you have a similar concern, better brace yourself for a quick garage detour. Hang in there! P.S: If it's any consolation, my old girl runs faster and smoother now. So hang tight, it'll be worth it!
