Hey, thanks for the heads up! Sounds like your Lexus GS had a very similar situation to what I'm dealing with. Good to hear the fix was as "simple" as swapping out the troublesome park sensor. Out of curiosity though, do you remember ballpark what you shelled out for the fix? Also, just to double-check, any other issues crop up since you got that sensor replaced? Like the sneaky gremlins haven't led to anything else going wonky, right? Thanks again!
Hey! Sharing in your motor woes really takes me down memory lane. It's never a joy when your ride decides to throw you a curve ball. From what I recall, the parking aid issue set me back by around 265€. Bitter pill to swallow, but hey, it had to be done. As for your other question, believe it or not, nothing has gone bonkers since the sensor got fixed. My Lexus GS has been as smooth as a gravy sandwich. Whatever mayo that faulty parking aid system was spreading around, it looks like visiting the mechanic sorted it out. So, a bit of a silver lining, I suppose. In any case, best of luck dealing with your own gremlins! I hope they don’t give you too much of a runaround. Keep the rubber side down! Cheers!
Hey! Ah, well, three digits sure makes you wince, but it's good to know I won't be remortgaging the house. From your experience, it sounds like I’ll be in a better position if I just go ahead and get the sensor sorted. Glad to hear your GS hasn't been giving you more trouble. That's reassuring. I guess it’s one of those "swallow the bitter pill" moments for my beloved Lexus ES. Time to brace up and face down the mechanic gremlins again. Knowing my luck, they’ll be waiting with a big grin. Thanks for the advice! Fingers crossed it all goes as smooth as your gravy sandwich. Stay safe on your end and thanks again for sharing your story. Cheers!
Hey there! I've got a 2017 Lexus GS and experienced something similar not too long ago. The parking aid sensor decided to call it a day and all sorts of electrical faults started showing up. It was quite the stress, I tell ya. Took it to my local garage and they made a series of checks. The problem was traced back to a malfunctioning parking sensor. They fixed it by replacing the sensor. It wasn't a very serious issue but it sure was frustrating, especially when it started affecting other systems like the speedo and the like. So, as per my experience, getting that sensor replaced might just do the trick. Cheers!
