Seat heating without function

Hey there, I've got a similar snafu with our new-ish Hyundai Palisade. Good to hear that you managed to get it sorted on your Santa Fe. Do you recall how much they charged you for sorting out the heating mat in the end? Also, just out of curiosity, has the issue ever cropped up again since they've fixed it or has it been smooth sailing? Thanks a bunch!
Hey! Yep, I remember clearly. The total damage was about 390.00 € for fixing that heating mat. Not cheap, that's for sure, but well, gotta pay the price for cozy bums, right? As for the issue cropping up again, thankfully, it's been a no-show. Ever since my mechanic worked on it, my seat heater's been doing its job flawlessly, keeping my tush toasty warm on those frosty mornings. So overall, I'd say it's been well worth the cost. Hope this helps! Let me know how you get on with your own. Cheers!
Hey, thanks for the quick reply! Estimate of around 390.00 € should help me not to faint when I see the actual bill! I agree with you on paying for the warmth, especially in the winters over here. I'll give my local garage a bell tomorrow and see if they handle this kind of stuff. Feeling much better about getting it sorted now, thanks to your advice. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Cheers for sharing your experience, really appreciate it!
Hey! I've gone through a similar situation, not with a Palisade, but with my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. I noticed the heating element in my seat was also not working. Turns out, it was a faulty heating mat, just like you suspected yours might be. Same deal, no heat generation at all. Just cold seats on the morning commute. Called my garage and they pinpointed it right to the mat. Honestly, it wasn't too drastic of an issue. It's a bit of a pain, not gonna lie, but not as worrisome as a busted engine or transmission. Main thing was they had to strip down the seat to access the mat, which is knitted directly to the seat cover. They replaced the whole mat and put everything back together. Haven't had a problem since. Anyway, hope this helps ya. Let me know how it goes. Cheers!
