Hey there, sounds like you had quite the journey with your Santa Fe Sport. I'm hoping to avoid any big surprises with my Palisade - fingers crossed! Do you remember, more or less, what the pocket damage was for the whole dashboard disassembly and fix? And, by any chance, have you had any other complications since? Really appreciate the help. Cheers!
Hey! I totally get your worries! Back when I had that issue with my Santa Fe Sport, the bill came up to around 165.00 €. Not exactly pocket change, but for the relief of having a fully functional display and audio system, it was worth it. After they straightened out the faulty cable connection between the control unit and display, everything worked just fine. Cheers to smooth drives with good tunes since then! Just remember, every car is kinda like a wild steed with its own quirks, but hang in there and get things checked out by the pros if this problem persists. Trust me, it's better than not knowing what could jump at ya next. No other problems so far on my end, fingers crossed! Hope your Palisade acts nice and easy from here on. Happy driving!
Thanks for such a quick response! It's good to hear that you haven't come across any further glitches after the fix. Your experiences give me some relief, to be honest. Taking your advice, I'll have my beast checked by the professionals asap. If it's gonna cost me around 165 €, better be ready to not let my pocket feel the surprise, haha! Happy driving to you too and fingers crossed for no annoyances in the future! Cheers!
Hey, sorry to hear about the trouble. I've got a similar story. I own a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Back then, same issue popped up for me. The navigation was haywire and the audio wasn't chiming in right. Took it to my local garage and they diagnosed it as a poor connection between the control unit and display. It was indeed a bit of a serious issue, nothing like a simple cable plug back in or something - complex than it usually seems, you know? They had to disassemble part of the dashboard to sort out the cabling. After reconnecting everything properly, they also brushed up the software to the latest version. That was it, got my car back, constant as river flow. To sum up, it wasn't a quick fix but definitely solvable. Hope this helps you a bit!
