2019 Renault Arkana Driver Seeks Advice on Warning Light Potential Causes

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey folks, I drive a 2019 Renault Arkana, gasoline engine, clocked around 65k km. Recently, a warning light lit up on my speedometer, and I'm kinda freaking out as it might be related to worn brakes or something (my last experience with a mechanic wasn't exactly rosy). Having similar issues? What did your mechanic say was the problem? Cheers.

Hey there, funny you should mention cause I've had a similar issue with my 2016 Renault Kadjar. Ran it for about 75k km when this pesky warning light decided to show up. I first thought it could be my brakes playing up too. Took it to my trusted mechanic and after some diagnosis, he figured out it was the DSC/ABS control unit that was acting up. Don't stress though, it doesn't happen often. It was a pretty serious issue, needed to get it fixed ASAP. But hey, since we got that sorted, haven't faced any problems since. Good luck with yours!

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience, man! It's kinda relieving to hear about similar situations. That DSC/ABS control unit problem sounds a bit ominous, but I guess we gotta do what we gotta do. Do you happen to recall how much you had to dish out to fix this issue? Fingers crossed nothing else has popped up since then? Let's hope our Renaults keep running smooth, eh? Cheers.

Hey there! Funny you should ask because I just had a glance at the invoice yesterday. It was a bit of a hit on the pocket, to be honest, had to shell out around €1000. But sometimes you gotta pay to play, right? And yeah, the DSC/ABS control unit issue isn't exactly an everyday problem, lucky us! On the flip side, since the mechanic worked his magic, that worn brake issue I thought initially was also sorted out. So, all's well that ends well. Just hoping that our Renault buddies continue their smooth ride against the sunset! Good luck with your fix! Cheers.

Hello, that's a bit steep, but yeah, I agree we've to keep our rides safe and smooth. Knowing that your brake issue got sorted along with the DSC/ABS problem definitely alleviates some of my concerns. I’ll take my Arkana to the mechanic soon to get it checked out. Hopefully, it won't spring any unpleasant surprises. Fingers crossed! Really appreciate your help, and here’s to hoping our Renault rides continue conquering those highways! Cheers.

Let our mechanics help you!
